San Francisco has a storied history; from its culinary geniuses and popular artists to its acclaimed writers such as Jack Kerouac; from famed Alcatraz inmates Al Capone and Machine Gun Kelly, to its devastating earthquakes; and from its diverse cultural mix, political protests and hippy heritage, to gay activism, there isn't a city in North America that embraces life in the same way. 

This quote tells you about the real people that go there as a prisoner. This came from a book call "Alcatraz Ghost Whisper in the Wind". The book is a first-person point of view. They are to really that bias. the persuasive techies they use are pathos, research, claim, and big names. There are no propaganda at all.
